To be short: is a romantic comedy like all the others. If you like romantic comedies (like me) you sure 'll love this movie. It's funny and of course predictable and kinda surreal, but that is what romantic comedies are all about. Girl meets boy, they fall in love, fight and break up and in the end, go back together. Everyone knows what happens but is still cute. The details that make the movie. It's a funny plot and J.lo and Alex are great on it. If you don't like the kind, don't even try it cause your gonna hate it. There is nothing special about it to make an exceptional movie, but this is not the intention of the movie. It's light and sweet and good to pass time.

First off I love J Lo, but she makes bad choices about some of her movies. After a 5 year absence I was hoping for something great like "Monster In Law" unfortunately this is not it. J Lo is getting a bit old to be playing the hapless unwed single girl, now at 40 she needs something meaty to sink her teeth into. A serious drama that is not another thrown together love story that just does not work. If you want to see this wait for the DVD but don't waste your money at the theater, you'll be kicking yourself. Now I hear J Lo is the lead in the remake of 1987's Overboard which starred Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, which bombed at the box office. Hopefull the producers and writers will come up with a remake that will be GOOD J Lo cannot afford another box office failure.

I was so looking forward to this movie but it was absolutely so disappointing, not at all Jennifer Lopez's standard. Normally her movies are quite good and will stand the test of time but this one was so disappointing that I felt embarrassed for her, definitely worth a Razzie, but hey the year is still young, look at Sandra Bullock....Jennifer still has time to win an Oscar!! Just look at Sandra Bullock!

I had my doubts walking into this one, but it seemed like the right thing to do at the time seeing this one. From the get-go it had a different feel to it than the typical romantic comedy. I thought this movie was very...very funny. It seems like a good date movie because there is the romance, but then there is the funny stuff that anyone can find funny - or maybe just those with kids. There is a water birthing scene in here that had me tearing up because I was laughing so hard. J-Lo's doctor is hysterical, and the leader of the Single Mom's Group is awesome as well. Nice cameo by Anthony Andersen and his discussion about kids and some "poo" that was found at the playground. All and all...a just plain ol' good time.

OK i'm going to be brief because this movie doesn't deserve my time and effort. The Backup plan tells the story of Zoe, after years of dating, she decided waiting for the right one is taking to long. determined to become a mother, she commits to a plan, makes an appointment and decides to go it alone. The movie is corny, foolish and totally a boring chick flick. One hour and a half of pure suffering with a nonsense story, a very weak plot, dumb jokes and silly situations. The cast isn't bad but their performances are just awful. People should banned Jennifer Lopez to act, seriously its a shame to see her in any movie. Alex O'Loughlin is better but not enough to save a movie and the rest well they didn't deserve a mention. In conclusion, The Backup Plan is a total waste of time and money. Just Avoid it its not worthy.

Funny, funny movie. I barely stopped laughing in one scene before I was rolling with the next one. The water birthing scene is one of the funniest scenes I have ever seen in a movie. JLo is at the top of her game in this romantic comedy and Alex O'Loughlin is charming, sweet, and romantic--the perfect leading man. Their chemistry is off the hook. These two gorgeous actors are loving, sexy, and totally believable in roles which challenge not only their comedic chops but their dramatic acting abilities as well. The serious moments are well timed and provide warmth and heart in between the more riotous scenes. Michaela Watkins as Zoe's girlfriend, Mona, is outstanding and so is the actress who gives birth in the kiddie pool. Highly recommend it!
