A guided walk along the canal is being organised by canal enthusiast Paddy MacNamara on Sunday.
Walkers are invited to join Paddy from Sallins to the 14th lock towards Dublin.
Paddy is going to give a short talk on the history and some features along the way.
Also if volunteers could bring some gloves in order to litter pick along the way it would be greatly appreciated.
This should take about two hours and expect a brisk pace.
