Demo of Microfilmed Leixlip Parish Registers and Talk will take place On Tuesday, 1st June, at 7.30pm, John Colgan will read What It Says in the Papers - on Leixlip, 1700 to 1800 at Our Lady's Nativity Parish Centre, Old Hill, Leixlip. Amusing, romantic and macabre incidents that were reported on Leixlip and the neighbourhood have been extracted from the many newspapers of the day

The recently acquired microfilm of Leixlip Parish's set of baptismal and marriage registers, together with a refurbished microfilm display unit will also be demonstrated with Sandra McDermott, from the National Library of Ireland, along to say a few words. Donations in aid of the Leixlip Branch of the Society of St Vincent de Paul and St Mary's Church of Ireland, Leixlip, Railings' Restoration Fund will be gratefully received.
