Local band Funzo have been confirmed to play at Electric Picnic along with such acts as Bell X1, Basement Jaxx, MGMT, Mundy and many more.

Comprising of six band members Funzo has been together for eight years since band member Liam began writing and recording music as a teenager.

Funzo has achieved immense success to date winning the "demo to Breakthrough" National Songwriting Contest in 2006 and winning the Trinity College Battle of the Bands in 2007. They have als oheadlined after Shane McGowans after show party in Eamonn Dorans, performed live with the Pogues and headlined over 20 Dublin venues.

They will be performing at the festival which takes place over the 4th, 5th and 6th of September.
