Hi Thebull.
Only about 15 km East of Krakow you'll find historic underground chambers, shafts and caverns decorated with sculptures and carvings- Wieliczka.
Town Hall Tower -it's the only remaining part of the medieval Town Hall, which was erected in 14th century and pulled down in the early 19th century. From the top of the tower visitors can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Old Town. The tower houses a branch of the Krakow Historical Museum. Its vast cellars contain a theatre and a cafe.
Another place is Auschwitz, known all over the world as a symbol of terror, genocide, and the Holocaust was established by the Nazis in the suburbs of the city of Oswiecim.
If you're looking also for fun, remember that Poland has some seven million visitors per year, more bars and clubs per square metre then anywhere else in the world, and three hundred thousand students, a fantastic mixture for a great party.

Krakow has a vast variety of tourist spots ranging from the Medieval Square called the Rennick supposedly Europes largest square to the not so touristy but must see Austhitz which all visitors should try and visit to see what the human race are capable of doing to one another.
Another place of interest would be Pope John Pauls residence located in the heart of Krakow .
All in all there is plenty to see for everyone in Krakow.
Also there is one location just across from the castle that will give you the best 360 degree view of all Krakow has to offer especially in the evening when night has fallen and the town is lit up in spectatular fashion.
And the place to have a drink has to be The (Irish) Mbassy.

I would say the salt mine in Wieliczka is something you have to see (apart from Aushwitz). It is also not too far from Zakopane and Tatra Mountains and these are cool. Look at the photos:
